A well-established and prestigious organisation with offices in Bury St Edmunds.
Your new role
This is a new Shipping Coordinator job, joining a busy shipping team. Supporting all aspects of imports, liaising with the purchasing team. Duties include but not limited to:
- Arranging export shipments, covering all modes of transport.
- Preparing associated export documentation, including Health Certificates and Certificates of Origin and Export Licences.
- Ensure database information is up-to-date and submit new information where necessary.
- Review changes within the freight industry to identify changes in legislation.
- Providing support to other areas of logistics as and when required.
To succeed in this job you will require:
- A minimum of two years' office-based experience.
- Dangerous Goods by Air, Sea, or Road qualification is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to take initiative, be proactive, manage changing priorities and work independently.
- You will have excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
- Import and Export experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, friendly and helpful nature.
- Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel.
