Bristol City Council is offering an exciting opportunity to lead the Specialist Teams within its Adult Social Care service, in delivering on our Adult Social Care Vision.

Role Overview
Safeguarding the adults and young people in our city is key to the success of our Vision delivery and it's a rewarding time to join us as we continue to:
- Drive the implementation of our innovative multi-agency adults safeguarding hub (MASH) and make a real and positive impact to safety in the community.
- Champion culturally competent safeguarding processes with a curiosity about diversity, layers of risk, building a courageous environment fully committed to inclusive protection.
- Deliver our transitions prevention offer supporting young people to live independent fulfilling lives.
- Harness the power of lived experience to shape and enhance our safeguarding practices with a focus on safe transitions for young people.
- Develop our dynamic team dedicated to delivering a pioneering safeguarding offer, equipped with the skills and expertise to make a difference.
- Make improvements to our DoLS service and improve the experiences of the people of Bristol.
As Service Manager, you will lead the delivery of innovative and modern specialist services, driving the implementation of our multi-agency adults safeguarding hub.
You will embed culturally competent safeguarding processes, whilst leveraging lived experiences to enhance practice across the range of services.
You will oversee our DoLs strategy, designed to improve systems and efficiency to ensure positive outcomes for people.
You will lead your management team to achieve team objectives and goals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment that drives excellence in service delivery.
About You
We are seeking a Service Manager with proven experience in delivering high-quality services for adults.
You will be a subject matter expert in safeguarding adults and DoLS, with experience of strategic leadership and performance management.
You will lead by example; advocating, challenging, and guiding practice, to ensure that legal frameworks are applied appropriately, and that decision-making is safe and effective for all.
You will be committed to driving continuous service improvement through the development of effective and sustainable systems and processes that provide quality assurance and further drive safe practice.
Your valuable experience in engaging with diverse community groups and stakeholders will effectively guide co-production solutions with families and partners across Bristol's community and service settings.
As a UK Qualified Social Worker or equivalent, you will have a current registration with Social Work England or equivalent regulatory body and have Practice educator or equivalent advanced grade qualification or experience.
