Senior Technical Architect

On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Senior Technical Architect for a 6 months Inside IR35 contract based Hybrid Birmingham, Manchester, Blackpool, Newcastle

CTC/SC/DV Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As a Senior Technical Architect, your main responsibilities will be:

.Architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.

.Public cloud technologies, cloud hosting, container, and networking design patterns, tools and best practice (eg Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

.Microservice and API-led architecture and integration design tools, techniques and best practice -

.Event-based architecture design, patterns (including pub-sub and data streaming), modelling techniques, tools and standards.

.Agile/DevOps delivery methodologies and best practice.

.Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) delivery methodologies, tools and best practice.

.Shaping and supporting technology initiatives, projects, programmes and portfolios.

Technical authoring skills, particularly for the production of technical design and specification documents.

Experience of leading on:

. Application product design description, documentation, and communication.

. Application product design approval through governance.

. Ensuring high quality VFM solutions.

. Application Product roadmaps.

. Identification, capture, sharing and iteration of technical architecture patterns.

. Technology choices (for application and technology products), providing knowledge and experience in technical specialisms.

Experience in data COTS products and designing systems used to store data
