Job Description

Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: London
Work Model: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Type -Permanent role.

My client is a leading quantitative trading firm, specializing in the development of cutting-edge technology and strategies to trade financial markets globally. They are looking for a Systems engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the standardization and implementation of technical requirements for high-frequency crypto trading systems on AWS.
  • Optimize performance in both bare-metal and cloud environments (Linux-based).
  • Manage and integrate systems across on-premise and cloud platforms.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Python.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Salt.
  • Focus on network latency optimization for efficient trading system performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align technical and business objectives.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in Solutions Architect or Cloud SRE roles, with advanced AWS expertise (preferably in high-frequency trading).
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Advanced Python skills for automation and Scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Salt, or similar IaC tools.
  • Solid networking knowledge and experience with AWS and on-premise system configurations.
