Job Description
SENIOR NURSE - NEWTON HOUSE, BLACKPOOL
42 per week, working a shift pattern - days only.
Covering on-call for the hospital on a rotational basis
£50,965.00 - £54,606.00 per annum (DOE)
Requirements: 18 months post registration experience or experience in a similar role that can demonstrate suitability for the role as a senior nurse. Qualified Nurse; RNMH / RNLD
As a Senior Nurse you will:
Provide a range of assistance with the key tasks that enable people to maintain an independent and ordinary lifestyle wherever possible.
Maintain a high standard of nursing input in the application of clinical procedures, including risk assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation, medication management, physical investigations and implementation of person-centred care.
Liaise with the Home and Deputy Home Manager to ensure the safe and effective delivery of care, in line with national, local and Company policy, through supervision of junior staff and audit processes.
Undertake RCA, accident reports, CIW notifications, Safeguarding, Complaints, Investigations and incident review as required by the management team.
Have experience in mental health conditions.
Possess experience in management and leadership, covering on call, managing supervisions and appraisals, evidence of professional development, leading teams, auditing, high professional standards and named nurse, writing reports and care plans and risk management plans.
Understand recovery, patient centred care, team working, personal development, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.

Situated a mile from the seaside town of Blackpool, Newton House Independent Hospital provides locked rehabilitation, habilitation and treatment to up to 21 men living with complex and enduring mental health conditions.
