Senior Solutions Architect - Manchester (hybrid - 2 days a week onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead and drive IT architecture strategies for a leadting organisation based in Manchester.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of leadership experience in IT solutions architecture and have a proven track record of delivering resilient IT applications in complex, multi-vendor environments.

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our technology landscape, ensuring that all technical projects align with the organisations strategic goals and governance objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Lead IT solutions architecture initiatives within the organisation, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy and governance.
Develop and review high-level solution designs, providing strategic solutions to reduce risk and complexity.
Review and approve technical specifications and tender responses from third-party vendors.
Ensure that all technical projects align with enterprise architecture objectives, maintaining coherence between the architecture and business processes.
Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to influence and negotiate strategic decisions.

Skills and experience required:

Extensive experience in a leadership role within IT Solutions Architecture.
Significant experience in implementing resilient IT applications in complex, multi-vendor environments.
Expertise in high-level solution design, including the ability to deliver strategic solutions that minimise risk and complexity.
In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture, ensuring that technical projects align with organisational strategies and governance.
Strong experience in reviewing technical specifications and managing vendor relationships.
Familiarity with industry standards such as TOGAF, UML, and others.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence strategic decision-makers.

Desirable qualifications:
Certification in TOGAF or related architecture frameworks.
