Senior Software Engineer

The Sensor Processing team is responsible for creating the radar software, which spans several areas such as system control, radar transmission management, and processing digital data streams. The primary goal is to detect and classify targets like aircraft and drones, track their movements, and present the results on operator consoles.

The software architecture is modular by design, ensuring flexibility and scalability to accommodate future system updates and enhancements.

Our development process is structured around Agile methodologies, supported by a modern development pipeline. The teams take ownership of the architecture, pipeline, and Agile practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Client Overview

Our company specializes in developing cutting-edge radar systems and optical sensors, which are integral to advanced defense solutions. Our product range includes compact, portable radars used for monitoring borders and assets, as well as sophisticated, long-range radars capable of detecting small objects at great distances.

The Sensor Processing team within the software department focuses on designing software to enhance control and digital processing capabilities within these sensors. This collaborative effort involves specialists from various fields, including systems engineering, sensor design, and real-time systems development.

What We're Looking For

Are you passionate about technology and eager to work on radar control systems or complex algorithms? Do you thrive in an open, flexible team environment, and have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Ideal candidates will have:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in C and C++ programming, with a strong background in developing real-time software.
• Experience with additional programming languages, such as Java, is a bonus.

Primary employment conditions

• Monthly salary as per market standards
• 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries

Secondary employment conditions

• Pension Plus scheme
• Net €750,- to set up your home workplace
• 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
• Travel allowance
• Relocation assistance if you come from outside the Netherlands

You will be seconded for one year via Yacht, with the possibility of being considered for a permanent position at our client.
