Role Overview:

As a Service Designer, you will play a critical role in redesigning and enhancing property management services. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary, agile product team, you will ensure internal processes and customer facing services are user-centered, efficient, and impactful.

You will be involved in research, prototyping, and process redesign while supporting the upskilling of staff in modern service design and product development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct user research with frontline teams to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Document research findings and contribute to the creation of user stories.
  • Develop iterative prototypes for testing and evaluation.
  • Redesign internal and external property management services.
  • Create reporting and visualization tools to enhance property management.
  • Support change management initiatives with frontline teams.
  • Collaborate openly with technical and administrative staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to staff, promoting contemporary service design practices.
Key Deliverables:
  1. Redesigned internal property management services and processes.
  2. Redesigned customer-facing property management services.
  3. Reporting and visualization tools to support property management.
  4. Microsoft Power Platform applications for property management.
Skills and Experience:
  • Essential:

    • Demonstrable experience in service design and user research as part of a product delivery team.
    • Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment.
    • Strong understanding of modern product management methods and approaches.
    • Experience providing informal or formal mentoring and staff development.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience working in the public sector or large organizations with subject matter experts.
    • Knowledge of Civic Tech or modern public sector development practices (eg, UK GDS).
    • Experience redesigning internal services.
Candidates must have stamp 4 or EU citizenship.
