Aufgaben

You will be instrumental in driving forward our research strategy and contribute to our biomarker strategy
and translational science efforts. You will report directly to the Head of Research. Your responsibilities
include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the design and execution of biomarker discovery strategies to support Cycuria's preclinical and future clinical programs.
  • Identify, validate, and develop pharmacodynamic (PD), predictive, and response biomarkers using multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and functional assays.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with biology, bioinformatics, and eventually clinical teams to integrate biomarker findings into program development.
  • Manage and oversee external CROs, academic collaborators, and clinical partners involved in biomarker research.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions, grant applications, scientific publications, and investor presentations.
  • Stay current on advances in biomarker discovery, oncology translational research, and emerging technologies.

Profil
  • You are a passionate scientist with a PhD in immunology, biology or related fields, with at least 5 years of postdoctoral research experience, including 2+ years in an industry setting
  • Proven expertise in biomarker discovery and validation, ideally in oncology or immuno-oncology drug development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with multi-omics data interpretation, assay development, and working with patient samples or biobank data.
  • Solid understanding of cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, and mechanism of action studies.
  • Experience in managing external partners (CROs/academic) and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to scientific and nonscientific audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
