Job Description

Our partner school are looking to appoint a Senior School Administrator to start as soon as possible in rural Norfolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a unique education setting and play an integral role in ensuring pupils who experience barriers to learning receive their full education entitlement.

Working hours: 32 hours per week

Hybrid working available, with most of the time to be spent on-site. Due to the location of the site, you must drive and have access to your own transport.

Key Duties:

General Administration Work:

  • Act as first line contact for the Principal and the SLT
  • Diary management of the principal and SLT where required
  • Show absolute confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Overseeing the day to day management of the administration of the office
  • Oversite of the admissions, Eccles school and absences first calling mailboxes and maintaining calendar of events and bookings
  • Scheduling regular events and meetings, preparing meeting materials and managing attendees. SLT the wider team and all stake holders
  • Provide support and leadership as appropriate for large scale events
  • Take responsibility for Admissions

Management Role:

  • Line management of administration support roles with responsibility for performance management
  • Coordinating and managing reception cover as part of the administration team
  • Appropriate allocation of administrative tasks for the admin support roles, according to the business needs and key priorities
  • Act as a champion for Engage MIS ensuring accurate records are maintained and raise issues when necessary
  • Overseeing the absence process of registering of students

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and reports and maintain records to a high standard.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of successful support to senior managers.
  • Experience of a busy and sometimes pressurised office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proven discretion, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in dealing with adults and children.
