Job Description

A fantasticopportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join ourTransportation team in Gloucester, working on the A417 missing linkroad project. You'll support the Commercial function within theRoadworks teams. A full UK driving licence is essential for thisposition.

Location: Gloucester - someremote working available, with travel to the officerequired

Contract:Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible forassisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimisingfuture liabilities and maintaining the required standard of qualityand safety on a range of contracts.

Your day today will include:

  • Provide commercialexpertise to contracts, to include the production and submission ofvaluations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstreamperformance data
  • Support the authorisation andsubmission of project variations. To authorise the placement ofcontracts, subcontracts, material, and plant orders
  • Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achievebest value
  • Implement all of Kier Group'spolicies including those for SHE and riskmanagement

Whatare we looking for?

This role ofSenior Quantity Surveyor is great if you have:

  • Relevant degree or HNC qualifications
  • Experience within a similar role in theConstruction/Highways Industry
  • Experienceworking on a major project
  • Experience workingfor a tier 1 Contractor
  • NECexperience
