Senior Policy Planner role for City of London Corporation

Your new role
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing a local plan through the examination stage. Responsibilities include preparing for, attending, and presenting key arguments on behalf of the City of London as the local planning authority at the examination hearings. Additionally, the role involves providing support to other officers in their preparation for the hearing sessions and liaising with the Greater London Authority (GLA), neighbouring boroughs, and other stakeholders on planning policy issues, including the statutory duty to co-operate.

  • Demonstrable experience in planning policy and local plan examinations.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the statutory duty to co-operate and relevant planning legislation.
