My IT Manufacturing & Services client seeks a dynamic Senior Network, Design Engineer/Software Developer with minimum of 5+ years solid experience AND key skills in Architect, design, and implement high-performance Layer2/Layer3 networking software AND Develop and optimize IP Routing protocols (eg, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS) and Tunneling technologies (eg, GRE, IPsec, MPLS) to meet product requirements.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of Layer2/Layer3 networking software for our cutting-edge data communication products. This role requires deep expertise in IP Routing and Tunneling, along with a strong background in network protocols, high-performance software design, and a passion for innovative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Software Development: Architect, design, and implement high-performance Layer2/Layer3 networking software with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
• Protocol Implementation: Develop and optimize IP Routing protocols (eg, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS) and Tunneling technologies (eg, GRE, IPsec, MPLS) to meet product requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, design, and architecture are followed.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of networking software across diverse hardware platforms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, QA, and product management teams to define requirements, create technical specifications, and deliver high-quality software.
• Research and Innovation: Stay current with the latest networking technologies, trends, and industry standards. Drive innovation in software design and implementation.
• Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex software issues in both development and production environments.
