Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior IT Projects Manager to lead our project management team. This role involves overseeing the delivery of client-funded projects, managing a team of project managers, project engineers and handling your own projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Delivery: Key understanding of Technical Delivery - Previous hands-on experience would be beneficial Experience working in the IT Managed Services and understanding the full project life cycle Methodologies - Agile and Waterfall

Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and development opportunities.

Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client-funded projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.

Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal client management team and clients on project-related matters. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Ensure client satisfaction and manage client expectations.

Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of project management strategies and methodologies. Align project management practices with organisational goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success. Manage project budgets and financials. Coordinate with other departments to ensure resource availability and allocation.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients. Maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experiencing managing technology deployments, often from client sites PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Must have:

Proven experience in managing client-funded projects. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
