Salary: c£40,000 (depending upon experience)

Hours: 37.5

Location: Shooting Star House, Hampton, TW12 3RA (Hybrid working pattern)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Events Manager to join our team at Shooting Star Children s Hospices.

Shooting Star Children s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Events Manager to support the Head of Events and Specialist Projects with the development and operational delivery of Shooting Star Children s Hospices (SSCH) events portfolio including special events, challenge events and engaging supporters across all SSCH audiences. The role is responsible for the line management of the Events Fundraisers and will be required to act as a key onsite team member as appropriate.

Additionally, this role will support the Head of Events and Specialist Projects with operational support to successfully enable the Executive Vice-President s (EVP) fundraising programme.

About you

You will have event management experience, ideally within a fundraising setting and have demonstrable administration skills. You will have excellent leadership, line management and people management skills with the ability to motivate, empower and encourage others with an approach that gives clear direction.

You will also be flexible and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as required for events.
