Senior Engineering Project Manager - Permanent - Main Contractor - Leicester - Water Industry

Your new company
You will be joining an established main contractor based in Leicester operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work with multiple water providers, including Severn Trent, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join their team. This is a full-time office-based position with occasional site travel.
This is a full-time permanent office-based position with occasional site travel. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week with half-day finishes on Fridays. Flexi hours are available between 7:30am-5:30pm.
Your new role
As Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be based out of their Leicester office and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing and delivering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all works are carried out safely, on time and within budget
  • Developing and managing project schedules, resource plans and budgets
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Managing project delivery teams
  • Building and maintaining relationships with both client and external stakeholders
  • Procuring specialist plant and equipment
  • Ensuring weekly reviews of projects, resources and forward planning are carried out
  • Managing project budgets and holding accountability for project deliverables.

  • What you'll need to succeed
    In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Proven project management experience in the water industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and project programmes
  • Full UK driving licence.
