Senior Data Analyst £45,000 +benefits Somerset (hybrid)

Are you a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with a passion for leading and driving data excellence?Your new roleOur client is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to take a key role in their data-driven initiatives. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to lead a talented team, manage critical organisational reporting, and make a significant impact across all functions, including Finance, HR, and more.

  • Supervise the Data Analyst, offering guidance, mentorship, and direction. Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of organisational reporting.
  • Manage and oversee the Microsoft Fabric Data Platform, ensuring it aligns with the organisation's needs and supports key strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of PowerBI reports, including executive and board-level reporting such as KPI dashboards. Apply advanced data analysis techniques using PowerBI, SQL, Python, and other tools.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to understand their data needs and ensure reporting aligns with organisational goals. Participate in strategic projects and initiatives like the Integrated Systems Project.
  • Promote continuous improvement in data analytics, advocating best practices, and staying current with emerging technologies, including AI and data analysis tools.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior data analyst role, with a strong background in PowerBI, SQL, and Python.
  • Proven track record in leading data analytics projects, managing reporting systems, and delivering actionable insights.
  • Experience in line management and the ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation.
