Job Description

Job Title: Senior Credit Risk Analyst - Portfolio Management

Location: Leicester (Hybrid working - 1 day per week in the office)

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus bonus & benefits

Overview:
My client, a thriving and innovative organisation, is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join their expanding Credit Risk Analytics team. This team is instrumental in analysing a significant credit portfolio and leveraging data insights to optimise both customer offerings and business profitability.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in credit and risk, coupled with advanced analytical skills and a keen interest in solving complex business problems. You'll have the chance to shape strategies for a large customer base, testing and implementing data-driven solutions to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights to drive informed business decisions.
  • Deliver regular reporting and undertake ad hoc analyses, providing commentary on trends and identifying opportunities or challenges.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in existing processes and policies through advanced analysis of diverse data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, marketing, customer experience, and technology, to design and implement portfolio strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in credit risk, balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements.
  • Present insights, reports, and strategy recommendations to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

About You:

  • At least three years' experience in a credit and risk role.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to use data strategically to deliver business insights and impactful recommendations.
  • Demonstrable expertise in tools such as SQL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach to addressing business challenges.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to connect insights from multiple data sources.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly to diverse audiences and secure buy-in for proposed strategies.
  • Commercially minded, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
