Senior CICS Engineer

I am currently recruiting a CICS expert to join my client and their team on a contract within the financial sector.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of CICS architecture, resilience, operability, and security principles. You will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining CICS environments, planning and executing system upgrades, and ensuring system efficiency and security.
What you'll need:
- Extensive experience with IBM CICS on Mainframe systems.
- Proven track record in system and upgrades and performance tuning.
- A broad understanding of surrounding IT infrastructure: hardware, networking, data, and Middleware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Change and Project Management to plan and deliver upgrade.
- Implement industry best practise and innovation within route to live cycle.
- Exploring and testing efficiencies within the CICS set up.
