Senior Bridge Engineer

We're looking for anexperienced Senior Bridge Engineer with design, maintenance andassessment experience to join our Transportation team based inPenrith. The position involves undertaking and overseeing simpleand complex analysis, design and assessment work as well asfeasibility and maintenance strategies for various highwaystructures. Location: Penrith - remoteworking available, with occasional travel to the officerequired

Contract:Permanent - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, justlet us know

Salary:£45,000 - £50,500 per annum FTE plus benefits

Responsibilities

As a Senior BridgeEngineer, you'll be working within the Kier DesignSolutions team. You will be undertaking and overseeing bridgemaintenance projects including structural bridge assessments,design and check calculations and feasibility studies, assisting inthe overall delivery of the workload of the Structures Bridge teamwithin the Design Solutions office.

Your day today will include:

• Produce, overseeand check scheme designs and maintenance repair strategies,including calculations reports and documentation in accordance withspecified briefs and in line with the time and budgetaryallocations.
• Undertake and oversee varyingcomplexity structural bridge assessments
• Assist in the overall delivery of the workloadof the Structures Bridge team within the Penrith Design SolutionsStructures office.

Who are we lookingfor?

This role of a SeniorBridge Engineer is great if you are:

• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE orequivalent)
• Experience in a similar rolewithin Highways
• Proven experience of bridgedesign standards and analysis
• Management anddelivery of projects to programme and budget constraints
