Senior Audit Manager / Client Portfolio Manager

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Salary: Dependant on experience
Job Type: Full-time

As a Senior Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of clients, mainly family-owned limited company clients, dealing with the corporation tax and personal tax issues of the directors and owners of the business.

You will be working at a senior level above four client managers and be responsible for all special work on those clients, as well as controlling the costs and efficiencies of a team of 14 staff.

High technical and practical ability, and able to make decisions are essential attributes.

Responsibilities

  • Organising the allocation of the correct staff on the right job.
  • Supervising the audit work and ensuring the audit team meets the deadlines and jobs are completed efficiently.
  • Reviewing files and reporting to the Client Director.
  • Attending client meetings with the annual file.
  • Advising the clients on ALL aspects of their affairs.
  • Ensuring all team members get the right training and experience.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of the files and completeness of the advice given to clients generally.
  • Providing an interactive and pro-active level of service.
  • Dealing with clients with a turnover between £5m and £30m generally, with some larger clients up to £50m.
  • Preparing tender documents for new clients.
