Senior Accounting Manager

This is a cracking role. Halliday Marx have partnered with a Top 50 accounting practice to recruit a Senior Finance Manager. This is a permanent role to work closely with the partner and the Investment team. This role is less Audit focused, but is more focused on Managing a portfolio of clients and managing a team of 5.

This role is 3 days a week in the office, 2 from home.

Responsibilities;

• Leading a team of 5
• Working with international corporate clients (headquartered abroad with a branch, subsidiary or permanent establishment in the UK) and private clients (income tax, inheritance tax, payroll etc.)
• Working closely with the head of department (onboarding new clients, fee proposals, billing, regular fee reviews, department reports etc.)
• Implementing processes and working closely with other departments to ensure deadlines are met e. annual accounts, audits, corporation tax returns
• Sense checking accounts, corporation tax, bookkeeping, monthly reporting, VAT
• Broad understanding of European taxes in general
• Direct client contact and liaison with colleagues from other departments within mgr as well as overseas colleagues from ETL GLOBAL
• Billing (to include WIP control and reviewing processes to increase efficiencies, if required)

Non Negotiable Requirements;

• UK Practice experience
• Experience working in a European country
• Fluent in a European language
• Understanding of Cross border VAT
