Role Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Tutor to support a student with very severe Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Twickenham. This role involves both tuition and mentoring, aiming to provide tailored educational support and guidance to help the student achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tuition tailored to the student's specific educational needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans.
  • Offer mentoring and emotional support to help the student manage their SEMH challenges.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education and wellbeing.
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with students with severe SEMH and SEND needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEND and SEMH strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are desirable.
