Main Areas of Responsibility

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. We welcome applications from practitioners who will:

  • Have regard to the curriculum for the school, and with a view to promoting the development of the abilities and aptitudes of the pupils in any class or group assigned
  • Assist in the development of appropriate curriculum adaptations for SEN children
  • Contribute to the delivery of the KS1 and 2 curriculum for pupils with additional needs
  • Raise standards of students' attainment and achievement across the curriculum and to monitor and support student progress with particular regard to students named on the SEND register
  • Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for students with SEN so as to provide consistently high-quality teaching
  • Disseminate high quality teaching pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning for our children

Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
  • Relevant experience in SEN
  • Successful teaching experience at primary level (can be teaching practice)
  • Knowledge of appropriate health safety regulations.
  • Experience of working in a school.
  • Understanding of the importance of students achieving their full potential
  • A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in mixed ability classes including implementation of support for high needs students with SEN
  • Good understanding of child development and progression and how this is impacted by SEN
  • Successful experience of delivering learning activities to students with ASD, SLCN and complex cognitive learning differences
