Clearance Requirement: Must meet eligibility for BPSS and Security Clearance (5 years continuous UK residency)
About the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and highly organised BPSS Case Handler to join our team, supporting critical government projects.
This is a vital role responsible for managing and administering security clearances (BPSS) for new joiners and internal staff moving onto government projects with high-security requirements.
You will be the key point of contact between HR, Project Leads, Client PMOs, and third-party screening providers, ensuring all clearance processes are followed to the highest standards and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and administer BPSS checks for new hires and employees moving onto secure projects.
- Manage communications with Project Leads, HR Managers, and Clients regarding clearance statuses and escalations.
- Attend and lead update calls with client PMOs to report progress and resolve issues.
- Maintain and develop process documentation, local work instructions, and compliance maps.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information in line with data protection policies and UK Government standards.
- Approve third-party clearance invoices and verify costs against services delivered.
- Provide aftercare services and support Business Excellence initiatives as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Recruitment Administration or Compliance Administration experience.
- Strong experience with background screening processes, such as BPSS, DBS, DS checks, or National Security Vetting (NSV).
- High level of organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to interact at all levels.
- Proficient with MS Office and remote working systems.
Essential Requirements:
- 5 years uninterrupted UK residency (mandatory for Security Clearance eligibility).
- Strong sense of confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive information.
- GCSEs/O-Levels or equivalent education.
- Ability to problem-solve and work analytically in a process-driven environment.
