We're looking for aSection Engineer to join our KierBam JV project atHinkley Point C based in Bridgewater, Somerset, KierBAM are a JointVenture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall.
Location: Site Based,Bridgewater, Somerset
Hours: Permanent 45 hours perweek
Responsibilities
The role of the Section Engineer is to manage thetechnical compliance of the project to the design specification inorder to fulfil the assigned project (or section), on time and tothe required quality.
Your day to day willinclude:
- Responsible for setting outworks constructed within allowable tolerances.
- Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarksand checking that all setting out instruments and measuringequipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate andrecorded accordingly.
- Ensures workforceunderstand setting out information has been identified as suitablefor the type of work being carried out.
- Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution onsite, ensuring clear communication channels are in place foreffective understanding
- Responsible forproviding and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, toensure accurate construction of the work.
