Job Description:
This mainstream secondary school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role requires a strong understanding of the science curriculum and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in a relevant science subject.
- Experience teaching science at secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience with extracurricular science activities or clubs.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technology and teaching methods.
