School Administrator - Senior Leadership Team Support
  • Location: Kingston
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £34,016 (£25,375 pro rata) Term time plus 2 weeks

Are you a master of organisation, a wizard with words, and a connoisseur of confidentiality? My client is on the hunt for an exceptional School Administrator to be the backbone of their Senior Leadership Team. This is not just any administrative role; it's a chance to be at the heart of educational excellence, supporting leaders who shape young minds.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Provide effective administrative support to the SLT, including organising meetings, appointments, and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Support school assemblies, services, and masses by preparing presentations and setting up as required.
  • Offer hospitality to visitors and make travel arrangements and bookings for the SLT.
  • Act as a minute secretary for meetings and liaise with school staff and stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.
  • Handle PR opportunities and maintain excellence in standards.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for matters concerning the headteacher.
  • Manage confidential secretarial, administration, and clerical duties, including the preparation of reports and documents.
  • Coordinate information for parents, including curriculum maps, and produce reports from school databases and spreadsheets.
  • Research and collate senior school admissions information and maintain records of year 6 leavers' destinations.
  • Liaise with the parent association and monitor social media Q&A feeds.
  • Provide cover for main office duties when required and track documentation templates for maintenance.
  • Coordinate the production and dispatch of pupil reports and administration for school events, which may include occasional evening and weekend work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in ICT and office management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience in minute-taking and report writing.
  • Familiarity with school database systems such as SIMS is desirable.
