SC Cleared Front End Developer
Posted 1 day 20 hours ago by Alexander Mann Solutions - Public Sector Resourcing
On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Front End Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month hybrid contract 1-2 days in the office based in any UK office.
Note: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, (as a minimum you will need to eligible for SC)
What are we working on?
The Acquisitive Crime Hub team currently uses a bespoke system created by an external supplier. We are now undertaking development of an internally produced system to provide like-for-like functionality as well as adding prioritised improvements. This will enable us to move away from the supplier contract and give us other benefits from the in-housing (bespoke solution, faster time to make changes, easier integration with other services etc). The team are looking to start this work ASAP to mitigate any issues with running out of time before the end of the contract.
How do we work?
The team is currently forming and currently has a number of multidisciplinary roles filled. They are currently performing a discovery and scoping the initial phases of work on the project. You will be supporting the in-housing effort, working with the other team members to define and implement functionality in the current solution, and to identify improvements and enhancements.
We generally operate in two-week sprints and encourage pairing to enhance collaboration and skill development. Our backends are written in Kotlin, so experience with Kotlin (or with Java and a willingness to learn Kotlin) is preferred. The Front End will be developed in NodeJS/Typescript, so experience with JavaScript and/or a strongly typed language is preferred. While the opportunity to work across both stacks is available, it is not a necessity
