Your new role

We are seeking an SAP WM (Warehouse Management) Support Consultant with ABAP experience. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing support, optimisation, and troubleshooting of their SAP Warehouse Management (WM) systems, ensuring seamless integration with other business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional understanding of SAP WM, with hands-on experience in ABAP development to drive system enhancements and customisations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide SAP WM support for daily operations, addressing incidents and service requests related to Warehouse Management processes (stock room management, goods movement, inventory control).
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP WM-related issues across the supply chain, working closely with business users to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Develop and maintain ABAP programs to customise and enhance the SAP WM module, improving efficiency and functionality.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to integrate new systems and external applications (eg, 3PL systems, transportation software).
• Perform system testing and coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for new functionalities or upgrades in SAP WM.
• Provide functional and technical expertise on SAP WM processes, particularly around interface integration and process optimisation.
• Stay up-to-date with SAP WM best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve system performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years working with SAP WM in a support or consultant role.
• German speaking at C1 or C2 level.
• Strong understanding of SAP WM processes (goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfer, inventory management).
• ABAP development experience (eg, user exits, enhancements, reports, interfaces) is essential.
• Experience working with external systems and their integration into SAP (eg, 3PL, warehouse automation systems).
• Familiarity with S/4HANA is a plus, as well as knowledge of IBP or other supply chain management tools.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to understand and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team and manage relationships with business users and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
• Familiarity with the MFR system (Material Flow System) and logistics software integration.
