SAP FPSL Technical Consultant - 6 months - Hybrid (London or Swindon) - Inside IR35

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive SAP FPSL Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) solutions within a complex banking environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand financial and regulatory requirements, translating them into scalable, compliant, and high-performance SAP FPSL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the design and technical implementation of SAP FPSL solutions tailored to banking environments.
• Develop and manage rules for event-based processing, ledger postings, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee seamless integration of FPSL with SAP core finance systems and HANA for performance and reporting accuracy.
• Build and fine-tune HANA-based data models using CDS Views, Calculation Views, and SQL Scripting for analytical and regulatory use.
• Deliver Level 2/3 technical support, manage upgrades and patches, and resolve performance or configuration issues as needed.

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Proven experience in SAP FPSL configuration, deployment, and technical support within the financial services sector.
• Proficiency in SQLScript, CDS Views, Calculation Views, and complex data transformation logic.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance frameworks such as IFRS 9, IFRS 17, Basel III, FCA, and PRA.
• Familiarity with the full SAP financial landscape, including S/4HANA Finance, SAP BW, and integration with Fiori.
• Experience integrating SAP FPSL with core banking systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly advantageous.

Contract Details:

• Duration: 6 months (with view for extension)
• Location: Hybrid in London or Swindon
• Rate: Up to £525 per day Inside IR35
