Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Gatekeeper

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Gatekeeper. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of SDS documents while focusing on essential Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) critical elements. You will work closely with various departments to review, maintain, and improve SDS documentation, making certain that our products and processes align with safety regulations and guidelines, and that we capture the correct data to author our product SDSs.

SDS Review:

• Thoroughly evaluate SDS documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Identify and correct any discrepancies, inaccuracies, or omissions in SDS content. Give input for our SDS authoring software EPY+.

HSE Compliance:

• Focus on the HSE critical elements within SDS, ensuring they meet all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Advise and collaborate with the formulation and HSE teams to address HSE concerns and non-compliance issues.

Document Maintenance:

• Maintain an organized and up-to-date database of SDS documents (1QM).
• Ensure timely updates and revisions to reflect product changes, regulatory updates, or safety improvements.

Communication:

• Collaborate with the procurement departments to gather necessary information and updates for SDS revisions.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, to resolve SDS-related inquiries and issues.

This role may require occasional travel to other Nutreco locations. The Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Gatekeeper will play a vital role in ensuring the company's commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of European CLP safety data sheet regulations and guidelines (e.g., GHS, REACH).
• Previous experience in SDS management or a related role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Proficiency in data management and document control systems.
• Familiarity with chemical products and their hazards.
