RiskShield Engineer

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a highly skilled RiskShield Engineer with expertise in Transaction Monitoring (TM) and Sanction Screening. You have a strong technical background in RiskShield configuration, API services, databases, and messaging systems. The ideal candidate has experience working in Agile/DevOps environments and can translate complex compliance requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions. You are proactive, eager to learn, and capable of communicating technical decisions to both technical and business stakeholders.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

  • Work as a specialist in RiskShield, configuring and optimizing transaction monitoring and screening processes.
  • Collaborate in a DevOps team, developing and solving complex technical challenges.
  • Translate KYC and sanction screening policies into effective and compliant technical solutions.
  • Ensure high performance and scalability of detection systems.
  • Develop, test, and maintain APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
  • Implement best practices in software development, including unit testing, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Communicate with business developers and IT engineers to enhance detection and fraud prevention capabilities.
AN IDEAL PROFILE WOULD BE

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in software development and system configuration.
  • Expertise in RiskShield (configuration, rule setting, optimization).
  • Experience in Transaction Monitoring, Sanction Screening, or KYC domains.
  • Knowledge of payment transactions and client integrity.
  • Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
Skills:

  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Experience with API services and integrations.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and messaging systems (eg, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to create efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language for business stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Certifications in Agile, Lean, or DevOps are a plus.
