This is a *Amsterdam* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on *promoting risk awareness, managing risk life cycles, improving processes, providing compliance guidance, and engaging stakeholders*.

Job Summary

Our client seeks a Risk & Compliance Officer to join the People Systems Risk & Assurance Team. The role involves promoting risk awareness, managing risk life cycles, improving processes, providing compliance guidance, and engaging stakeholders. Requires expertise in risk management, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of business risk and compliance.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks using standardized methodologies.

  • Support control design, assurance activities, and audit coordination.

  • Communicate risk strategies to stakeholders and influence decision-making.

  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and support recruitment.

  • Develop and implement risk treatment strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience (3-5 additional years).

Skills & Experience:

  • 5-8 years in Risk Management, Compliance, or related fields.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Knowledge of internal controls, automation, monitoring, and compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, PCI, ITGC, CoBIT, ITIL).

  • Experience in E-commerce or tech companies is a plus.

  • Fluency in English (written & spoken).

  • Certification in CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA, or similar preferred.
