Reward Lead | 12 months (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (Edinburgh or Glasgow)
Day Rate - circa £450
Harvey Nash's Client is recruiting for a Reward Lead for an initial period of 12 months, working from either Edinburgh or Glasgow on a hybrid basis - typically once per quarter at this stage. The purpose of the role is to build in a recent review of the client's pay framework for roles with a digital focus. Additionally, the role will focus on job architecture including job evaluation and associated role identification activities where required. The role holder will also provide input into the client's reward offering to ensure the employee value proposition continues to be attractive in the wider job market.
Main Duties:
- Further development and management of job evaluation activities.
- Leading the reward workstreams with ongoing business wide initiatives.
- Partner with counterparts in Scottish government and wider civil service on all reward based developments, maintaining alignment to Civil service pay ethos
- Liaise with business leadership to ensure reward processes are an enabler of any potential business and service developments
- Preparation and presentation of any papers related to pay strategy
- Prepare business (financial) cases that may impact reward
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that all pay related processes operate smoothly and accurately
- Support resourcing activity through providing up to date market insights
Skills Required:
Technical/Experience
- Knowledge of job evaluation processes and application (direct experience of job evaluation within the civil service would be advantageous but not required)
- Experience of reward benchmarking and translating data to meaningful strategic recommendations
- Proficiency in MS excel data analysis and visualisation

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including data visualisation capability.

- Able to manage complexity and articulate risks, dependencies, and critical decision points.
Analysis & Making Effective Decisions
- Able to understand and interpret a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data and insight, drawing clear and reasoned conclusions which lead to practical and actionable recommendations.
