At Black Country Housing Group, we're looking for a proactive and empathetic Scheme Manager to join our team at Vantage Point, a retirement living scheme. About the Role

As a Scheme Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Community Wellbeing: Enhancing residents' lives through social and wellbeing activities that foster a happy and engaged community.
  • Income Management: Supporting residents to manage their rent and service charges while ensuring effective collection processes.
  • Housing Management: Overseeing lettings, resolving queries, and promoting a culture of mutual respect.
  • Asset Management: Ensuring the scheme is safe, clean, and well-maintained through health and safety compliance and effective repairs management.
  • Resident Support: Providing daily wellbeing checks, assessing needs, and encouraging healthy lifestyles and social engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Line-managing the Domestic Assistant and fostering a positive working environment.

You'll also be a visible and approachable single point of contact for residents, upholding BCHG's values and promoting a sense of belonging.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a supportive role, ideally within housing, social care, or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of issues affecting older people and awareness of safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of housing management and health and safety compliance.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
