Residential Property Legal Secretary Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for property law? The Role: As a Residential Property Legal Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting a busy fee earner, ensuring smooth communication with clients and third parties. This is a varied and hands-on role, requiring strong organisational skills and a confident manner when dealing with clients. Whilst they are seeking expertise in residential property, they are open to considering candidates with commercial property experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients on behalf of the solicitor
- Audio dictation and document preparation
- Opening and closing property files
- Handling Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements
- Utilising conveyancing systems to track progress and manage cases
- Ordering searches, official copies, and Companies House documents
- Involvement in Stamp Duty Land Tax (calculations, submissions, and payments)
- Regular contact with estate agents and other third parties
- Keeping the fee earner updated on the progress of matters
- Providing direct support to 1 fee earner, with flexibility to assist others when required
- Previous experience in residential property is desirable, but commercial property experience will be considered
- Excellent communication and client liaison skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
- Proficiency in conveyancing systems and processes
- Salary: £24,000 - £26,000
- Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
