Research and Evaluation Manager
Grade A: £52,737 (National Framework) or £58,409 (London Framework - if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) - There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home. For part time roles - please note this will be pro rata.
Contracted Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week. Job-shares, part-time and compressed hours will be considered.
Contract Type: Fixed Term, Secondment opportunity until 31 March 2026.
Location: Home or office based, flexible location. Or hybrid working (working 2 days a week from home the remainder in the office).

Why this could be a great role for you
This interesting and varied role will provide management and leadership within CQC's research and evaluation programme. You will lead and manage a portfolio of research and evaluation projects on a priority theme, ensuring its success and impact on CQC's direction and decisions.
The work you lead will inform CQC's strategic direction and the development of CQC's approach to regulation. You will join a talented research and evaluation team and build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels to ensure evidence-based decisions and help accelerate improvements in health and care. You will help ensure the organisation is open, transparent and supports a culture of learning - aways being informed by the latest research and evidence.
What you will bring
Within your support statement, you should demonstrate your knowledge of evaluation approaches and experience of undertaking research using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods. You should evidence your experience of leading and managing several research or evaluation projects at once. You should demonstrate a proven ability to proactively manage and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders, highly developed communication skills, and an ability to ensure research and evaluation have an impact in a high-profile complex environment.
