Job Description

Repairs Operations ManagerBased in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.Full time, 37 hours per week.Salary: £51,030 - £56,700We have an exciting opportunity for someone with management experience in a repairs or property services environment and good knowledge of the social housing sector and the requirements of housing providers.In this role, you'll lead our multi-skilled, customer-focused operative teams delivering responsive services and related work programmes in Broxbourne. Ensuring teams are effective and efficient in the safe delivery of work for our customers, you will manage four Supervisors and a Qualified Supervisor, monitor and oversee expenditure for the repairs service, take responsibility for revenue related job allocation and spend management whilst leading on supplier, contractor and subcontractor management. You will also enjoy looking for better ways to do things, be able to identify and drive areas for improvement and to use data to inform how we shape our services in both the short and longer term, and how we forecast expenditure and deliver value for money.We're looking for someone with - A construction trade qualification or equivalent experience- Good knowledge of construction and building maintenance- A solid understanding of health and safety legislation and its application- A full, valid driving licence and daily use of a carYou'll also need experience of:- Managing a responsive repairs service or managing delivery of major works programmes- Delivering or overseeing compliance-related works in a related field- Managing teams within a DLO (Direct Labour Organisation)- Social housing environment and policyWe're a social business, based in Hoddesdon and across southeast Hertfordshire, helping local people by renting or selling affordable homes.
