About The Role

We are looking for a Remembrance Events Officer to join our team at The Royal British Legion. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering key Remembrance events, including significant milestones like VE Day and VJ Day this year. Ensuring they are carried out efficiently and in line with established plans. You will help coordinate all event logistics, manage timelines, and work closely with the Remembrance Events Manager to ensure all tasks are on track. A key part of your role will involve ensuring budgets are carefully monitored and reported on regularly.

Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.

You will also be involved in coordinating meetings and maintaining detailed records, ensuring clear communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The role includes liaising with various groups, including government agencies, security authorities, and representatives from the Armed Forces community. Additionally, you will work to implement necessary security measures and accreditation systems, ensuring compliance with external requirements.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant events that honour the Armed Forces community. You'll be working with a diverse group of stakeholders, helping to create events that have a meaningful impact. If you are highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure, this is the perfect role for you.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is adaptable, and is eager to make a difference. If you have experience in event coordination and are passionate about supporting the Armed Forces, we would love to hear from you.

You will be contracted to our London Hub, Haig House. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.

Employee benefits include -

- 28 day's paid holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing with service, with optional annual leave purchase scheme of up to 5 working days
- Very generous pension contributions, with Employer contributions ranging from 6% to 14%
- A range of flexible working options may be available, depending on your role and the needs of RBL.
- Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- A range of courses delivered by learning specialists to support your development goals and objectives.
- Opportunities to volunteer.
- Travel loans, Cycle to Work, and more!
