About the team

Our Product and Technology teams are the Worldpayers behind the game-changing products and digital experiences we're best known for. Striving for better, they never stand still - delivering impactful innovations that power transactions across the world.

What you'll own

To manage the end-to-end build and release process to deliver fully tested, robust, working solutions at accepted and agreed levels of quality for the WPG Platform.

Documentation as required by the agreed and specified process & governance models, and regulatory/legal requirements

Ongoing reporting at agreed frequencies, appropriate to project and stakeholder needs.

Creating, Owning and Maintaining a rolling release calendar with clear visibility for stakeholders and business change sponsors

Organise and Manage cross functional deployment teams / resources to perform release deployment activities.

Ensure that the Release Management team can fulfil and meet the business expectations, acting as a key point of contact managing expectations of the business

Lead and drive Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) across the WPG Release process, automating processes and improving pipelines.

What you bring

Essential:

5+ Years of Practical Release Management/Engineering Experience

A solid track record of 'on time delivery' in a similar environment/role

Proven ability to operate and interact at multiple levels within an organisation

Previous hands on experience running complex deployments and releases

A thorough understanding of the various common software release processes / lifecycles (specifically Agile methodology) and source code control

Excellent communication skills, written and spoken

Excellent influencing and collaborative skills

Strong problem solving skills

Desirable:

Creation and management of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Github)

Good understanding of e-Commerce and the payments industry

Specific strong Java experience, including development of secure web applications

Linux server and AWS infrastructure experience (e.g EKS, EC2)

Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk Enterprise, Splunk APM etc)
