Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered CQC Manager to lead their supported living service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supported living services, both community-based and residential, particularly with young adults and children living with physical disabilities, challenging behaviour, neurodiversity and mental health.

Duties

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your duties will include:

  • Conducting new care assessments, ensuring that the service user's needs are met and the care provided is person-centered and always exceeds expectations. Ensuring care plan reviews are undertaken and risk assessments are complete and up to date.
  • Conducting quality surveys and audits and implementing action plans to drive improvement within the service.
  • Building rapport and professional relationships with multidisciplinary teams and local authorities. Attending local managers meetings and health and social care settings.
  • Ensuring complaints and incidents are handled efficiently, timely and that lessons are learnt, and action plans are put into place.
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the service. Providing leadership, support and mentoring to the office team, senior care assistants and team of care assistants.
  • Ensuring that the business meets CQC requirements and local authority regulations, also ensuring internal databases are kept up to date at all times.
  • Being part of the manager on call support rota, providing telephone support to seniors during emergency situations; one in every 4 weeks.

Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in healthcare - Level 5 or be working towards it
  • At least 2 years experience as a Registered Manager with the CQC
  • At least 2 years experience working with children and young adults, within a supported living setting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Have a strong character and be a good communicator
  • Be a reflective leader
  • Work closely with the owners to develop growth plans for the service
  • Be passionate about high levels of care
  • Have a full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle and business insurance
