Job Description

Job Title: Recruitment Administrator

Salary: £13,722.50 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting) Band C, Level 3

Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (with hybrid working 2-4 times a month)

Contract Type: Fixed Term up to 12 months

Working Hours: 17.5 hours per week (ideally working across 4 days a week)

As the Recruitment Administrator, you will (Key Responsibilities):

  • Ensure candidate eligibility checks and employee records meet legal and policy standards, including DBS checks and renewals.
  • Proactively request, follow up, and review references to ensure accuracy, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Manage new starter details, coordinate induction processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate training and access to benefits.
  • Act as the first point of contact for recruitment inquiries, maintaining knowledge of policies and escalating complex issues.
  • Contribute to recruitment planning, manage calendars and statistics, and continuously suggest improvements for efficiency in processes.

  • Customer Focus & Communication: Committed to delivering excellent customer service with strong communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Tech Savvy & Record Management: Skilled in using IT tools (such as Word and Excel) and experienced in managing electronic records and HR systems.
  • Detail-Oriented & Organised: High attention to detail with effective planning skills to manage tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • HR & Recruitment Experience: Background in HR or recruitment, including onboarding practices, with a solid understanding of GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
  • Adaptable & Collaborative: Flexible in adjusting to changing priorities, always ready to contribute, and a supportive team member.
