Contract: Three-year fixed term contract
Hours: Full time
Salary: £45,833 (Band 6.1) per annum - Spot Grade

They have recently been awarded funding from the Racial Justice Unit to enable them to:
As well as having oversight of this exciting programme, the Racial Justice Programme Lead will engage with lay and ordained leaders across their organisation to ensure that they prioritise their work on racial justice and anti-racism. They will work with others to enable them to become a diocese which fully welcomes, support and embraces people from global majority heritage backgrounds and ensure that creative and inspiring approaches to achieving racial justice from across the diocese and the wider Church are promoted and built on.

There is an Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a practising Christian, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

- roll out their Shades diversity and anti-racism programme for young people in their schools and parishes across the diocese.
- provide direct support for their Global Majority Heritage congregations.
- focus on development and training for their clergy and lay leaders, enabling their parishes to welcome people from all backgrounds.
- award grants for innovative local parish projects.
