Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Main Contractor - Birmingham - Utilities Schemes - Civil Engineering

Your new company
You will be joining an established utilities contractor based in the Birmingham area working on multi-utility schemes for high-profile clients. This organisation offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development as well as the opportunity to work on an array of exciting projects. Having secured an additional £30m worth of work on top of their already healthy order book, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Birmingham office and be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value
  • Managing subcontractor accounts
  • Liaising with clients and other key project stakeholders
  • Monitoring cash flow and valuation plans
  • Managing subcontractor tender processes
  • Providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects on a weekly basis.

  • What you'll need to succeed
    In order to be successful, you will have:
  • Experience at an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor level
  • Good working knowledge of NEC form of contract
  • Sound negotiation and organisational skills
  • A doer attitude and be able to liaise with clients, site teams and subcontractors.
