Freelance Quantity Surveyor, 3-6 months, Lincoln, £300 - £400 per day

Your new companyYou will be working for a tier 1 contractor that specialises in commercial building projects across health, leisure and defence projects valued up to £20 million. They are currently seeking a skilled Construction Quantity Surveyor to join us on a freelance basis for a minimum of 6 months.
Your new roleAs a Construction Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the costs of the projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will be working closely with the project managers and clients to provide accurate costings, valuations, and financial reports.
Key Responsibilities: Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, performing cost analysis for various projects. Oversee and control project budgets. Assess and value work done on-site. Provide regular financial progress reports and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors
What you'll need to succeedProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials, excellent numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, QS software), exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
