Job Description:
As a Dental Nurse with our Dental Practice, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting Dentists:
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures.
Assist dentists during various dental treatments and procedures.
Provide chairside support, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Handle dental materials and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and update patient charts.
Patient Care and Support:
Welcome and reassure patients, addressing any concerns or questions.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by dentists.
Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as preparing dental impressions and models.
Provide post-operative instructions to patients and schedule follow-up appointments.
Maintain a clean and organized dental environment for efficient workflow.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with reception duties, including appointment scheduling and record management.
Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practice policies.
Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and hygienic working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
Dental Nurse qualification and registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Knowledge of dental procedures and treatments.
Proficiency in dental radiography techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
