Part time Finance Manager job in City of London

Your new company
Our client established in 2011 to provide independent expert technical services to the shipping and maritime industries. The client's offices are based in the City of London and are seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a part-time basis.
Your new role
The role is a part-time position 1 to 2 days per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the finance function, month-end accounts preparation for UK companies and consolidating the accounts.

All applicants must be competent at using Xero and MS Excel.

The offices are based near Holborn station but it is only occasional travelling to the offices is required. Duration of the assignment will be 6 months with the view to the assignment to go permanent after 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  • Use Xero to manage and reconcile accounts.
