We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Psychologist to join a team in Derbyshire, working within a forensic setting for individuals with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients, providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to individuals with complex needs in a secure environment.
As a Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing treatment plans, and supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, ensuring that all patients receive person-centred and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for individuals with learning disabilities in a forensic setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support rehabilitation and mental well-being
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and best possible outcomes for patients
- Provide psychological reports and documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Offer support and supervision to junior staff and contribute to clinical supervision sessions
- Collaborate with external agencies, family members, and caregivers to support patient progress
- Contribute to research, audits, and the development of best practices within the service
Key Requirements:
- A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, or equivalent
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
