Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a global management consulting firm and a leader in business strategy. With over 90 offices in 50+ countries, BCG's Global Services function provides essential management services including finance, IT, risk management, legal operations, and HR.

The Partner Services Group (PSG) integrates finance and human resources functions to support BCG's Partnership and individual Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs). PSG oversees the global framework shaping incentives through the annual performance evaluation process and compensation and equity programs for MDPs worldwide.

As a Finance Analyst within PSG, you will support a wide range of reporting and analytics activities for MDPs across 50+ countries. This role will involve developing a deep understanding of the global framework for MDP incentives, compensation and equity, while working closely with PSG and Finance functions such as Tax, Treasury, and Global Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build models and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement using large data sets and statistical and mathematical methodologies.
  • Generate and track MDP financial estimates on an accrued and cash basis, taking into account different geographies, currencies, and local program specifics.
  • Understand and manage MDP lifecycle events (Office Transfers, External Hires, and Departures), apply compensation and equity implications to financial models, accurately update tracking and documentation, and communicate effectively across the appropriate networks.
  • Execute and review Excel models and visualizations to provide insights into the compensation and equity model, supporting senior stakeholder decision-making.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, addressing the impacts of compensation and equity transactions across different geographies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of MDP scenario projections, adhering to country-specific program parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial strategies align with overall business objectives.
  • Manage projects effectively, ensuring value-added documentation and analyses across various platforms are updated, maintained accurately, and delivered on time.
Additional Opportunities:
  • Collaborate with various teams to improve data and security management, leveraging workflow tools such as Alteryx and Microsoft Automate.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance PSG-internal and MDP-facing processes and products.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI and SQL.
  • Automate operational processes and enhance reporting through best practices in visualization and data storytelling.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

You have successfully operated in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. We are looking for a well-rounded individual who is comfortable navigating complex problems and can work collaboratively to help bring insights to light for leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a data analytics role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, nested functions, mixed references, arrays, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of finance and economics principles.
  • Excellent organizational, project-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive data.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple, simultaneous assignments with minimal supervision
  • Experience with data visualization and automation tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI) is not necessary but a plus.

YOU'LL WORK WITH

Partner Services Group (PSG). PSG is an integral part of BCG's Global Services function. Global Services (GS) consists of a varied range of functions providing corporate support of BCG's business and strategic priorities for example, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing, IT, Risk, PSG and more. This diverse team of experts, operators, and specialists represent all levels from MDP to entry level staff, operating across the globe in multiple countries.

This role will be part of the PSG Analytics & MDP Support team and will work closely with the Compensation & Equity team and other PSG sub-functions. You will work with Roberto Sestito, Stef Steege, Laura McDonnell, and the broader PSG team. Depending on specific workstream, you will work closely with a subset of the team on a day-to-day basis and with exposure to Amy Glass and Ben Holden, as the MDP Co-Leads of PSG function. You will also team with Agile systems teams and the product owner of Business Insights & Analytics.
